Due to a change of ownership in Lend Lease’s ‘F.M.’ arm/operation, Nationwide were fortunate enough to be chosen as their preferred maintenance partner and so were able to undertake all these ‘delap’ works prior to this handover upon the many varied and notable Lend Lease constructed buildings throughout the Country including the initial batch of 19 No. new Birmingham schools completed beneath the Birmingham B.S.F. Banner which also formed part of this sale of ownership.
The Initial Birmingham School works/repairs took place over a 18 week period and would entail various elements of Joinery, Drylining, Roofing works, Re-Glazes, Furniture repair and replacement and redecoration upon completion at each location, the majority of these repairs were carried out within either the School Holidays or ‘after hours’ when the schools largely unattended by Pupils meaning we could operate without hindrance.
As of July 2015 this partnership with Lend Lease is still highly active and we are shortly also to commence similar programmes to the one described above upon at the ‘Lincoln Schools’, Manchester M.R.I. (Joint Hospitals) and at Sheffield University, we are also in discussions about further schemes in the South of England & a number in Scotland.
Programmes such as the ones undertaken above clearly demonstrate the versatility of NATIONWIDE and also our ability to provide true national coverage.
